Domiciliary Care Services

NewCare Devon is the largest provider of Domiciliary Care Services in South and East Devon and offers a full range of Care and Support services to people in their own homes.

Domiciliary Care is for those Clients who may need short visits and occasional help with tasks such as getting up, washed and dressed in the morning, preparing for bed, taking medication or help with meal preparation or shopping and cleaning.

Care packages are all tailored to the requirements of the individual but can be flexible to meet the inevitable changing needs of our Client group.

Personal Care

  • Bathing or showering
  • Going to the bathroom
  • Shaving
  • Hair washing and styling
  • Application of creams
  • Safety checks
  • Monitoring general health
  • Safety and wellbeing

Laundry

Washing and ironing, either in the home or at a launderette

Shopping

Carers can escort Clients to the shops or take a list and carry out errands including Pension and medication collection

Cleaning

The full range of cleaning services including washing up; hoovering; dusting; bed making; house cleaning

Meal preparation

Preparation of fresh food or re-heating of ready meals; provision of drinks and snacks; provision of special dietary or specific health related foods

Medication

Assistance with taking medication or administration of medication prescribed by a GP

Enabling and Companionship

Companionship within the home; respite for a regular Carer or accompaniment to an appointment or social event
