About NewCare Devon
Our Staff
NewCare Devon has a team of over 300 Care and Support staff who are local people of all ages dedicated to providing a high quality service. They are selected for their qualities of reliability and commitment and an ability to carry out their duties with discretion and professionalism.
We have a robust recruitment policy and all Carers are employed in line with CQC and the Department of Health National Care Standards Guidelines.
Carers are checked using the Criminal Records Bureau and are subject to an Enhanced police check and an Independent Safeguarding Adults check.
New Carers complete a twelve week training and assessment course during which time the quality of their work is closely monitored by Senior staff.
We place great emphasis on the quality of our training. We have a full time Training Manager who delivers a wide ranging programme of courses relevant to Social Care including First Aid, Moving and Handling, Safe Handling of Medication Dementia Awareness etc.
